Zente refers to Sente, the local vernacular for Sint-Laureins. Originally meant as a small chalet with sauna, Zente eventually grew into a spacious and attractively furnished holiday home with its own wellness area. Lay out and construction as well as finishing touch and design of both home and wellness were realized by host Bart. The house is completely built in wood, which provides cosiness and offers low energy consumption as a bonus. Zente is located in one of the last quiet areas in Flanders, a real walking and cycling paradise. Sint-Laureins is famous for its creeks, a vast nature reserve where many wild birds breed. It lies close to the Dutch border and serves as a gateway to the vast polders. At times Sint-Laureins is compared to the end of the world, so relaxing it feels… and yet it is close to really interesting cities and to the North Sea coast! It is merely 30 minutes away from the historic cities of Ghent and Bruges, and 20 minutes from the coast: Knokke, Damme, Cadzand and the idyllic town of Sluis.
