Hostess Gwenda is yoga teacher and gives massages. Besides group classes yoga in Ghent she also gives private yoga and Thai massage at home. Our Zente guests can always book a private yoga session or Thai massage, which takes place in the holiday home.

Yoga – feel at home in yourself

Who does not need it from time to time: come into your body, relax, healthy and consciously move and live? Yoga opens up body and mind. Starting from your body you come into the here and now. What I find important: work with small groups or give private sessions for personal attention and guidance to work on letting go and relax, mindfulness and depth. Everyone has indeed a different body with a different history … This takes your specific needs and objectives into account – a must to feel at ease and to be able to come home in yourself and in your body …

Thai Massage

Thai massage is often called ‘the yoga for lazy people’ because of the soft, passive stretchings. Thai massage is actually a combination of these passive stretchings and working with pressure points along the so-called zen energy lines. It is a deeply relaxing, purifying and at the same time super recuperating massage that works very deeply. Thai massage is performed on thick mats on the floor, without oil and with your clothes on. Thai massage can also be smooth and is therefore suitable for any age or body – I adapt my massage to the person’s sensitivity and body. Thai massage is very therapeutic, provides a good drainage and stimulates blood circulation. At the same time it energizes the parasympathetic nervous system – our natural ability to achieve a deep relaxation. It always gives me the feeling of being reborn and going outside with a new body!

Yoga weekends

Bart and Gwenda regularly give yoga weekends in Zente. Gwenda takes care of the yoga and Bart provides the healthy and festive meals, whether or not in the form of cooking workshops.
